I already have the abortion pills. Why should I contact North Care?

Short answer: to look out for your health. Long answer: Before taking the abortion pill it's important to confirm how far along you (the FDA only approved it up to 10 weeks). Our free ultrasound is the most accurate way to tell you that info. It can also tell you if the pregnancy is viable or you are miscarrying, in which case you would not need to take the abortion pill. Finally it tells if the pregnancy is in the uterus or is a potentially life threatening ectopic pregnancy (the abortion pill does not treat ectopic pregnancy).

Why do I need an ultrasound?

Whether you’re thinking about parenting, abortion, or adoption, an ultrasound gives you valuable information you need to know, regardless of your decision. An ultrasound can determine the gestational age of the pregnancy, whether you have an intrauterine pregnancy, and the viability of the pregnancy.

How much do your services cost?

All our pregnancy services, including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, consultations, and STD Testing are free and confidential.

If I've taken a home pregnancy test, why should I be tested again?

At North Care Women’s Clinic we are experts in pregnancy confirmation. We offer laboratory quality, highly accurate pregnancy testing to verify your pregnancy. Tests can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception, and results are confidential. A positive test reveals you have the hCG hormone in your body, but it does NOT tell you if the pregnancy is viable. An ultrasound can tell you more.  When you come in for a free pregnancy test appointment you will meet with someone who can help you to understand the results, talk about your next step, and offer you an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy if you are eligible.
